My Surprise Visit Home.

Last Thursday I got permission to fly home for the weekend and spend some time with my family. While my dad, mom, and three of my sisters knew of my visit, I was able to keep it a secret from the rest of my family and friends, who had no clue until I showed up that I would be there.

Friday night was a game night at the Gibas' house, and most of the church was there. My mom took my sisters and dropped them off, and then slipped out and picked me up at the airport. When we pulled up in front of the house, my sisters came out to meet me, and then we all slipped back inside. Everyone was gathered in the living room singing, and it was great to see peoples faces when I came in the door.

After finishing singing, we divided up into small groups and prayed for a while. The rest of the evening was spent playing four on a couch (a great game, for those of you who have never played it), eating, and catching up with several people that I hadn't seen for a while. I got to talk a little bit with Adam Blalock, who just moved back to Colorado. Please do continue to pray for his mom, Judy Blalock. For those of you who don't know, she has cancer, and she recently got several discouraging reports back from the doctors. Pray for peace for the entire family, wisdom in deciding what steps to take, and that she would be able to gain back the weight that she has lost due to the treatment.
